the smell of spring
He told me about the cigarettes, about the men in leather jackets and boots, about how they lived. They knew all the chemicals to put in your body, to make your world a little happier and your life a little shorter. I didn't believe it when he told me they owned guns that they didn't use and had money that they abused but never lost. Guns were always shot, people owned them and used then on a daily basis killing both enemies and friends. Money, when someone had it, never stayed for long. It always disappeared, no one had felt rich in many years. But these men, could they actually pass the corruption humanity had placed on itself? I didn't believe it until I experienced it.
