To pay at a later time

Beautiful Civil War mugshots of Lewis Powell, failed assasin of Lincoln assasination conspiracy, right before his hanging, by Alexander Gardner

Summer Days, Gone to Imagination

Shaking dove nor spring doe can run
Across such land of force and beauty
As on your willing face, the turning sun
With the burn greater than cruelty
As the sun’s warmth folds under white brim sea
Shadows bleeding across waves of blue and grey
Your honest eyes beg the hardest plea
For they drain with the cutting of lost day
Deepest are your breaking blood filled wounds
As the falling sands rise under crashing foam
Man cannot mold metal sharp as the moon
Never brilliant as the lost days where sun shown
But still the failing memories of sun’s warmth keep
Silent under man’s infinite changing sleep

“Above all, we are coming to understand that the arts incarnate the creativity of a free people. When the creative impulse cannot flourish, when it cannot freely select its methods and objects, when it is deprived of spontaneity, then society severs”- JFK
